How it works
Finding games is free. Here's everything else.
Once you have a game, Open Weekend can also book the field and the officials, split the cost between the two teams, and run leagues and tournaments. All of it is optional.
Why it exists
Finding a good game shouldn't take forty texts.
Coaches piece together weekend games from Facebook groups, group texts and calls to tournament directors. The opponent might be two levels better, the field might not be booked, and nobody's sure who's paying the umpire.
Today
- Posting in three Facebook groups and hoping someone answers
- Blowouts because "AA" means something different to every coach
- Calling the parish to find out whether a field is free
- Chasing an umpire or referee the night before
- Venmo requests, cash at the field, and arguments about the split
- A score nobody records, so the game counts for nothing
With Open Weekend
- One post shows every nearby team open that weekend
- Matches ranked by a rating built from real, confirmed scores
- Fields book instantly, or the park answers your request with one click
- Officials assigned through local associations or an open board
- Each team pays its share up front; rainouts refund automatically
- Confirmed scores feed your record and the local rankings
How it works
From open date to final score in five steps.
Post your open date
Weekend, home or away, preferred field, and who covers the field and officials: you, or 50/50.
Get matched
Teams your age and level who are free that weekend, nearest and closest in rating first.
Field booked
Partner complexes book instantly. Parks get an email and answer with one click. A $15 Field Hold reserves early.
Officials assigned
Umpires or referees from your area association or the open board. Paid through us or in cash at the field.
Score confirmed
The official or either coach enters it; once confirmed, ratings and rankings update.

Questions
Everything else people ask
Does my team have to be sanctioned or in a league?
No. Travel, rec and school teams can all post and play. Sanctioning bodies keep running their own tournaments; this is for the weekends in between.
How do you keep matchups fair?
You pick a tier when you sign up. After your first three confirmed games, a rating built from real scores takes over, and every match shows how close the two teams are.
What if it rains?
If the field or the official calls it, both teams get a full refund, including our fee, or keep the money and pick a new date in one click.
Can we play a scrimmage that doesn't count?
Yes. Mark the open date as an unranked scrimmage and the score won't touch either team's rating.
Who can work as an umpire, referee or assignor?
Anyone can ask on their profile. Our staff check certification and experience and approve each sport before you can claim or assign games.
What do you store about players?
Nothing. Profiles are team-level only: no rosters, names or photos of kids. Coach contact details are shared only after a game is accepted. The privacy policy has the details.
Where is it available?
We're opening in Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston, Acadiana and the Northshore first, with baseball and soccer. Flag football and softball are next.
